ABOUT EARNING CERTIFICATION POINTS
ABIH CIH
Attending the Pre-Conference event contains 8 hours of technical contact time and may be eligible for ABIH CM credit in Category 4. See the
ABIH web site for the CM credit criteria.
Attending the Conference event contains up to 20 hours of technical contact time and may be eligible for ABIH CM credit in Category 4. See the
ABIH web site for the CM credit criteria.
ABIH awards conference attendance 0.5 point for each 3 hours of technical content attended by a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH). The point types of IH, IH Ethics, Safety, and Management are assigned based on the subject matter (see
http://www.abih.org/general/cmpointrequest.html#definitions). Taking part in other capacities beyond just attending can fall in to other ABIH credit Categories.
BCSP CSP, OHST, CLCS, CHST
Attending the Pre-Conference event may qualify for BCSP recertification points for 1 day in Category 6 credit. See the BCSP Recertification Guide for details, available for download on the BCSP website at

Attending the Conference event may qualify for BCSP recertification points for up to 2.5 days in Category 6 credit. See the BCSP Recertification Guide for details, available for download on the BCSP website at

BCSP awards credit based on the length of participation of a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Occupational Safety and Health Technologists (OHST), Certified Loss Control Specialist (CLCS), and/or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification holder in a conference. Each day (6 hrs or more) of attendance earns 0.50 points per day of Category 6 credit. Taking part in other capacities beyond just attending can fall in to other BCSP credit Categories.
CE for Engineers and Land Surveyors
Attending the Pre-Conference Workshop and conference may qualify toward meeting the continuing education requirements of licensed professional engineers and land surveyors. The Pre-Conference Workshop contains 8 hours of technical contact time and attending the conference event may qualify for up to 20 hours of technical contact time. Meeting participants should consult their respective state’s Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors to ensure pre-conference workshop and conference content fulfills the state’s continuing education requirements.
